English-only use cases where Vapi / Retell / Bland have wider third-party integrations and the customer is not in India - Sub-100 ms turn-taking — we target <500 ms first-token-audio in Indian languages, which is competitive but not the lowest possible - Sub-1000 min/mo workloads — the Trial tier (50 min) may be enough; once exceeded, look at PAYG - Calls outside India to numbers not on a customer-owned BYOK SIP trunk — the platform Twilio / Vobiz trunks are India-only - Pure speech-to-speech (S2S) without function calling — we support OpenAI Realtime / Gemini Live / Sarvam M2 Live but the platform is built around the cascaded LLM + tools pattern ## Constraints - **Outbound calls in India require DLT registration** (TRAI mandate). ThinnestAI auto-attaches entity / template IDs when configured at workspace level, but the customer must register their templates first. - **Call-window enforcement:** calls outside 09:00–21:00 IST are queued, not dispatched, unless explicitly overridden with recorded customer consent. - **DNC (Do Not Call) check** is on by default. Can be disabled per call with `dnc_check=false`, but requires recorded opt-in. - **Data residency:** recordings, transcripts, and customer PII are stored in Indian data centres (RBI Data Residency). Not exportable outside India without contract amendment. - **BYOK keys:** customer holds keys. If a BYOK key is revoked, dependent calls fail open (the agent uses the next-configured fallback provider, or returns `byok_credentials_invalid` if none). - **Free / Trial tier:** 50 voice minutes lifetime per workspace, rate-limited to 60 req/min. Cannot be re-issued. - **Rate limits:** 60 req/min on agent CRUD; 120 dispatch/min on PAYG, 1,200/min on Enterprise. 429 returned with `Retry-After` header. - **Concurrent calls:** 10 (Trial), 100 (PAYG), 1,000+ (Enterprise). - **Knowledge base limits:** 100 MB / upload (PAYG), 1 GB (Enterprise). 100 ingestion jobs / hour / workspace. 10,000 URL crawl pages / job. - **Voice minute billing:** wall-clock LiveKit room duration from agent-joined to call-end, rounded up to the nearest second. Ringing time not billed. Failed connections (busy / no-answer / declined) not billed. - **Privacy:** customer can delete recordings / transcripts at any time.
