What a Business Lead Should Cost in India, and What You Are Really Paying For

Why cost per lead is hard to compare
List providers price the same thing in different units. Some charge a monthly subscription that includes a fixed number of contacts. Some charge per contact revealed. Some charge per seat. Agencies often charge per qualified meeting. A “₹2,500 a month” plan and a “₹60 a contact” plan are not comparable until you know how many contacts you will actually use, and how many turn out to be wrong.
The only number that matters
Work out your cost per usable lead:
total spent ÷ businesses you could actually contact
A usable lead is one with a working number or email for a business that is the kind you wanted. Three things make the real figure higher than the sticker price:
- Wrong or stale numbers. A contact that no longer works still counted against your plan.
- The wrong kind of business. A list sold as “clinics” that includes laboratories and pharmacies costs you calls you did not want to make.
- Unused allowance. A monthly plan you use half of costs twice as much per contact.
What kind of contact are you buying?
There is a second difference people miss. Some products sell the direct mobile number of a named person. That is the premium product and it is priced in tens of rupees a contact on many monthly plans. Others give you a business's own public contact details: its main line, a sales number, a general email. They answer a different question. If you want the founder of a company, you need the first. If you want a hundred clinics to offer a service to, the business line reaches the people who handle bookings and purchasing decisions anyway.
How Find Leads prices it
- ₹1 for each lead, after your first 50, which are free in your workspace's first month.
- You only pay for a lead: a business that comes back with a phone number or an email.
- Free: sites that are not a match, businesses with no contact details, businesses already in your contacts and ones an earlier search found.
- No subscription, no seat fee, no allowance to waste. It comes out of your balance, one lead at a time.
Before a search starts you see the most it can cost, so a 250-lead search shows a number on screen first.
A quick way to check any provider
- Ask what you pay when a contact is wrong or empty.
- Ask whether the price includes people you will never use.
- Try 25 leads. Call five of them. Count how many were right.
That last step takes ten minutes and tells you more than any price list.
